snowsuit vs gap warmest coat
DD will be around 9 months during the winter. Does she need to have a snowsuit and a winter coat? First time mom here, I'm confused
TIA

Re: snowsuit vs gap warmest coat
We had both a snowsuit and a warm winter coat. The snowsuit was only ever used if I took her out in the snow, which was like 3 times.
The heavy coat wasn't used much more than that b/c she couldn't wear it in the carseat, but I always liked to have one in the car just in case something happened and we had to be outside in the cold unexpectedly, KWIM?

Re: snowsuit vs gap warmest coat
i hated using the snowsuit and only used it when it was below freezing... i prefered the warm coat instead with a blanket on the legs

Re: snowsuit vs gap warmest coat
this is the first year DD will have a snowsuit - she'll be 3 1/2 once winter hits. i saw no need for one up until this point. i only have this one because i received it as a hand me down, but i probably would have gotten one this year and will snag one for next year when the post season sales hit...

Re: snowsuit vs gap warmest coat
Question, so if they are not allowed in the car seat with a coat, how do we keep them warm? A blanket is not warm enough IMO.

I was curious about this too. I already have a bunch of blankets in the car and know that generally ill try to heat the car up before putting her in, but still feel like something's missing, ya know?

I get a thin (but warm) jacket (last year was corduroy, this year is sherpa, others like heavier fleece) and put that on DD over her regular long-sleeve shirts. Thin enough for the carseat, but some warmth there. It's just for going to/from the house/car/store, you know?
As I mentioned, I do try to keep a warmer winter coat in the car for any instance that could arise (car troubles, etc.) that would have us outside for longer unexpectedly...so that DD wouldn't be in just the thin coat then, KWIM?
