Really? he got notice of shipping in 3 days....I will have to ask him.

MY DH doesn't want to wait 2 days or 2 weeks...SO he is leaving work early to go to Apple at 3 pm today! lol!
He has changed his mind a thousand times too as to which model to get!?!?!?

They start selling them at 5 pm!
I can't access the live chat feature on apple.. so if I don't, i'll go there early tomorrow.. I refuse to wait in line to get one! lol

My DH tells me this morning he woke up from a nightmare (about not being able to find the apple store in the mall  - some "nightmare" I know) SO he was up anyway...went online....put the ipad2 in his "cart" and then decided against it because he wants to be holding it in his hands today!
NOW THAT is a NUT!
ETA: which model did everyone get...I might be the only wife telling my DH to just go ahead and get the bigger model and therefore  My figureing....if he gets the cheaper model, he might live to regret it later...same witht he wifi and 3G...he was only going to get the wifi..and I told him he might regret that later on...it is better to have more than less....
But I may live to regret that later on!

I forgot to add the he ordered 2 iPads this morning.... I guess one just "fell" into his cart huh??

I was too excited. I knew if I ordered it when I woke up then I'd have to wait for weeks til I get it and there's no way I can get to an Apple store during tax season before 7pm.
I got the 32g with wifi. I'm going to use my Evo as a hotspot if I need to.

Store Report: iPad 2 Ships in 2 to 3 Weeks; Stores Prepare for 5 p.m. Sale
If you’re thinking you’d order an iPad 2 online today and then receive it in three to five days as it was originally listed on Apple’s site, we have some bad news for you: Now it’s going to take two to three weeks to get your iPad 2.
Looking at Apple’s online store, every version of the iPad now has “ships 2-3 weeks” next to it. So if you’re one who must have instant gratification, your best bet might be to go to a Best Buy, Target or Walmart to pick one up, where they go on sale at 5 p.m. local time.
We just called a typical Best Buy in the central U.S., and store employees said they would be handing out tickets at 4:30 p.m., which are good until 6 p.m., after which time shoppers can snag an iPad 2 on a first-come, first-served basis.
Calling Target, store employees responded that they only had a few iPad 2s in stock but thought they were going to get more. Both stores said people have been calling about the iPads for a couple of days, so they expect lines to form.
When we called Walmart, a store employee said they have four black iPad 2s and no white ones. The employee said “no one has called to ask about the iPad 2? and recommended that we show up at 4:00 p.m. and wait around.
If you go to one of 236 Apple retail stores, you might be standing in line for a while, but there’s probably more inventory available. We’re keeping an eye on the lines at Apple stores, where in Manhattan they’re already starting to form. A college student this morning sold her first spot in line for $900 at the flagship Apple Store.
Calls to two local Apple stores resulted in one of the stores referring us to Apple’s website via a recorded message, and the other, after a lengthy hold, couldn’t tell us how many iPad 2s they had in stock. They did admit they had no white models but said they would have some by 5:00 p.m.

I actually have mine!
Went to Verizon wireless in Bklyn (Atlantic Terminal Mall) at 4:30 p.m., and I made "nice" with one of the salesman, and he put it aside for 4:50 p.m.
Got the 64GB w/ a pink cover.
