so confused-updated AGAIN

So I caved yesterday, and tested early (10 dpo). I got a BFP. I tested again to make sure...same result. I didn't even tell dh because I was at my sister's in NJ for Halloween and he was working all day, and I didn't want to tell him over the phone.

So I decided that I would test again this morning, and show him that one. But when I tested this morning, the line was lighter than yesterday. Now I am petrified that it is a chemical, so I still haven't told dh. I think it would break his heart, so I would rather just tell him I got AF in a few days if that's the case.

Oh, and I didn't test either time with FMU. Yesterday, I didn't decide to test until like 11am. I was trying to hold out, but for the past few days I have been cramping so similar to last time, that i caved. And then today, I got up at 7 to take my progestrone, and I peed then but forgot to test so I tested when I got up for good at 9.

I know I set myself up for this by testing early, but to be honest, if it is a chemical, I would rather know. So now I don't know what to think. Ugh. I hate this. Any thoughts??

UPDATE 11/3: I went to get bloodwork done yesterday, and got the results today. So far it's not looking good. To quote the nurse, she said she "didn't like my numbers." My hcg was 46, which I guess is not terrible considering yesterday was 12dpo. The bigger issue is my progesterone which was only 2.6. I don't even understand how it's possible to be that low considering I have been on suppositories for the past 11 days. I am very dissappointed that the medication isn't helping my progesterone issue...it makes me very anxious about what the future holds. I am going back tomorrow for repeat bloodwork, and won't get the results until Thursday, so I'll update then.

11/5: My hcg more than doubled...it went up to 109. So that was good news. The progesterone is still super low though. It increased to 4.5 (should be 9 at absolute minimum). So it's still not looking great. They are having me go back again tomorrow for bloodword. The nurse said they're just going to keep a close eye on it, and hope for the best. If you have any spare or please send it my way!

11/7 The nurse just called with results from yesterday. This one nurse is such a b!tch...always so negative. This time hgc was 321, so more than doubled again. Progesterone was up to 6.5 They are increasing my dosage of progesterone to 800mg a day Of course, the nasty nurse reminded me that my hcg was still *very low* for over 4 weeks. She also told me I have to go in for a sono at the end of this week. They had no appointments though, so I have a sono appointment for Tues 11/17. I think I will only be 5w6d and I told her that, I was like "isn't that a little early?" but she said the doc wants it done. So that's that. OK, so I will stop updating now I am going to try to relax, pray, and hope for the best. Thanks again girls for all your and and kind words. You are the best!!

as for telling your dh, if it were me, i would tell him all this m/c and ttc stuff has been so emotionally charged for me, i tell him everything. heartbreaking or not

I would tell DH too...I don't think you should have to deal with anything by yourself...

As for the test...at least it was still a line right? I would wait for FMU tomorrow w/ a digital...

I think this sounds very positive. First off, obviously, you know you tested early so that right there wont give you a strong BFP and secondly, you didnt test with FMU so that too could make the result not as strong as it could be.

If yesterday was 10 DPO then today is 11, I would wait until tomorrow and test with a digital. If you can, *try* to hold out until 14 DPO because there shouldnt be any confusion at that point.

Don't worry to much yet. Honestly it could be something so simple as your urine just being more diluted to make the line slightly lighter. Plus it is still very early so the hormones are slowly starting to build up.


I def would tell DH. Either way good or bad I am sure you will need him there.

I agree with Lisa, I think this sounds positive! You got 2 BFPs, although one was lighter, that doesn't mean anything, since you didn't use FMU.

I'll tell you with this pregnancy, I would go from dark to light lines depending when I tested, and today I'm 6 weeks, so no chemical, and I'm praying I don't miscarry.

I would tell DH, get excited, and I hope this sticks for you hun

Thanks girls You are the best! You are totally overestimating my patience though. I was out this morning and bought a digital...took it as soon as I got home It came up pregnant!!
I am still a little concerned about the lighter line, so I am going to take a line one tomorrow with FMU. And I know my doctor makes you come in for bloodwork right away, so I will go in this week and hopefully that will confirm!

I'd go to your doctor tomorrow AM for a blood test and then they can test your levels again 2 days later. But I wouldnt worry and would assume it's good news!

I am praying for you!! I am very surprised your progesterone was that low...since you did start taking progesterone. But since you are so early only 12dpo..maybe the number is just starting to increase. Did they say where the number should be at?
