I guess they are open for monitoring but other than that they will be closed. Is that normal??

Many RE clinics do not do IVF cycles at this time. They use this time to do inventory and restock the labs.

Where I went, the lab was shut down from 12/16 through 1/2 last year. Which is why we had to wait to do an IVF cycle. I was able to do IUI though at that time.

they clean the labs. It's important.

I'm frustrated too. I won't start until Jan 5 either.

I may have to do some BCPs for a few days to coincide with their cycle times.

Just wasn't expecting them to ever close for such a span of time like that...

Yeah, it is kinda annoying, especially if you do co-culture because if you don't get scheduled for that (and it runs on a different calander) you could completely miss a cycle. It doesn't start until Jan 20th. So, I will hopefully be able to do that 1st wk in February, otherwise, I think I might miss the entire cycle. They still haven't posted when the cycle ends though. I got my confirm letter (which means nothing BTW) and has no dates on it. Though I fear that I will be doing my last ER or ET on my 41st birthday in March. That would be a nice present though, now wouldn't it.
