So I get out of my car, in front of my house today...
And there are two teenagers walkin down the street. One of them goes, "you work at BOCES, CCA right?".. me,"Groan.. trying to hide my name tag". Kid, "yeah, you do.. I go there.". Me, "really, cool".
GREAT!!!!  Now this kid who is most likely emotionally unstable since he goes to my school and must be on the psych side, since I don't recognize him, knows where I live!!!!!

that's why I don't think I could live and work in the same town...it's bad enough seeing them at roosevelt field.

CCA at the Rosemary Kennedy Center? Is Charlie Kullis still the principal or did he retire. I worked there from 2001-2003 in ISP.

No he retired a few years ago. We have a new guy that totally shook things up. You wouldn't even recognize the school anymore. (well not look wise but enviornement wise) It is awesome. No more loosey goosey rules. Don't get me wrong I LOVED Charlie but, sometimes some new young blood *untenured* needs to shake things up. Where you with North Shore?

Yup. North Shore. Working with ISP was an amazing experience. It was a great time in my life considering I got married when working there.
Charlie was a nice person but I agree loose on enforcing the rules.

It is pretty awesome, esp. when you can really see the difference in the kids lives!
Yeah, it's great now... no more smoking on breaks.. totally smoke free.. both sides of the school are united.. there is a school wide behaviors system and a game room and cool new courtyard for rewards... new library... I run the morning annoucements and that is all organized. It is so much more like a normal school than ever before!!!
