So I got the Citi Mini Double.....
And i dont see the hype...and I WANT TO SEE THE HYPE for that amount of $$.
I feel like its almost "flimsy". Is that the good part? That is is so light? Cause I will give it that, its light and easy to move...but the seat itself, it feels like theres nothing to support them?
Tell me I will love it.
ETA- Also..do you who have it reccomend getting the Bar that goes in front of it..I dk what its called.

The belly bar. If you want to put trays on it, you need to have it. I just got the City Classic after using my friend's for a short time at the aquarium. You will love it. Give it time!

hmm...I love mine, did you get the mini itself or the new one (name escapes me but I thought that was "flimsy"!)?
sorry, there's nothing worse than buying something and being so excited only for the bubble to burst!

GIVE IT TIME!
I just used my mini (not the double) the other day, and SERIOUSLY... I was riding over stuff just to ride over it b/c I couldn't do that in my snap and go... I was going over all these tree branches and cracked sidewalks to test it... Im Crazy I know... But it works AMAZINGLY!

Re: So I got the Citi Mini Double.....
Pros: I definitely think it rides well over bumps and cracks in the side walk. I one of my cheap light weight strollers the other day and I could really see the difference. It folds easy. My DC love riding in it.
Cons: It is material on the sides, so from pushing through doorways and up the ramp at my DS's preschool the material on the side has ripped. Some of that is my fault because I am often not careful. Also, I broke the basket at the bottom of the carriage because I kept shoving my diaper bag under it. Again, this could be my fault. I actually just took it to the cleaners so they could repair it for me.
I did get the belly bar and one tray. When I first started using the stroller my DD was just baby so I thought the belly bar would keep her more secure. I also wanted a tray and you need the belly bar to attach the tray.

Re: So I got the Citi Mini Double.....
Thanks for your mini review. Hmmm, I am seriously considering the citi mini double, BUT I put DS in one last weekend and he seemed to be almost too BIG for it (he is 1 year and about 30 lbs.). :-O
He also didn't seem to like how "reclined" the seats were. I have read complaints about that before and that the boards you can purchase don't seem to help.
DS LOVES his Maclaren Quest Sport, so I am seriously considering the double Maclaren (Twin Techno I think), but I know you can't attach an infant seat to it... Decisions Decisions........ Ugh!

Re: So I got the Citi Mini Double.....
I have the single, and *I* love it - comfortable, SO easy to open/close, pushes/turns really well -
but I don't think Sean is very comfortable in it - he doesn't complain, but he LOOKS uncomfortable, and doesn't sleep in it like he does in the Bugaboo .........
i'm a little disappointed

Re: So I got the Citi Mini Double.....
Well I love mine but I have mixed feelings esp when I compare it to my bumbleride indie twin.
I got the city mini double for our trip to disney (since I knew we were going I bought it early so we would get a lot of use out of it - DH didn't want to risk having the bumbleride broken on the flight down or back).
Both my girls are actually really comfortable in it - I think Kaitlyn is even more comfortable in it than in the bumbleride. I LOVE the canopy - I wanted a large canopy for WDW, and a full recline in case they fall asleep in the stroller they can comfortably nap.
The basket on mine is eh - the 2010 is bigger from what I have heard.
The wheels are - eh - MUCH better than my maclaren and sit and stand - but NOT nearly as good as my bumbleride which glides over the cracks and uneven sidewalks. I have used both for 2 hour walks with the girls recently and while the city mini is great and I love it - it just doesn't glide as easily as the bumbleride does.
Give it some time - I love that it is lightweight and so much easier to fold and lift than the bumbleride so that is a big + in my book. My 10 month old loves it too.
I do have the bar but haven't really used it b/c Kaitlyn can't climb in on her own if i have it on. But you will need it if you want a snack tray.

I am not sure if you are aware but you could just get another single maclaren and the clip and attach it to the sport you have and create a double. This is what I am considering.

Ryan hates how reclined he is. And he isn't a great hand holder - so, right now, most of the time, I'm pushing Colin in the snap and go and carrying Ryan or praying he stays close by

Re: So I got the Citi Mini Double.....
That's one of the reasons I got the BOB Revolution 12" AW Duallie. The BOB just felt all around more sturdy and just an overall better construction. It's super easy to handle and can go on trails and pretty much anywhere. I absolutely love it.
The Citi Mini felt really flimsy to me. I needed something that felt like it could actually take a beating.

I have heard this, but was wondering what it looked like / how it actually worked. I don't know how the 2 wheels next to each other would turn?
