So I guess this is as good a time as any...
To announce my pregnancy with baby #2!!!!
As many of you may already know, I lost my precious baby boy Liam Jude at 8 days from a congenital heart defect. These past few months have been the ABSOLUTE worst of our lives. At some points, my sadness was so great I didn't even see the need to go on.
It was around the holidays that DH and I decided to try again. It was by ABSOLUTELY no means to replace Liam, but as a way to perhaps, once again, find happiness and hope.
We received our BFP on February 9th and our EDD (I am currently 14 weeks 4 days) is October 17th. Everything is looking good so far. In a few weeks we should have answers to whether everything is looking as it should. The heart defect Liam had was a very "freak" and rare occurrence and the doctors have assured us that there is no reason that we couldn't go on and have healthy children. I am crying just typing this. If it weren't for Liam's death this baby probably wouldn't be. Our plan was to wait at least a couple years to TTC for our second. In many ways I consider this pregnancy a gift from Liam and hopefully from my mother up above. My due date is within days of her birthday.
Well, enough mushy stuff. I am probably going to have a ton of questions and concerns as I am a complete nervous wreck!!!!!!!

This is going to be one very blessed baby to have big brother Liam looking down on him/her from above, always watching out!

Congratulations on your blessing - I would not be surprised to hear that you have your baby on your Mom's birthday.... find comfort knowing that you have angels watching out for you and your precious cargo.
I am sorry for your loss of Liam...
