So I guess we're tools - Easter baskets..

those without kids... Do you guys give Easter baskets to each other (if you celebrate it)?

We do. Chat Icon

I got him some Reese's PB eggs, a big Reese's bunny and a CD - I plan on putting them in his basket.

We're also coloring eggs and hiding them on each other - he's gonna hide 6 in our upstairs, I'm gonna hide 6 on our middle floor.

What do you guys do to celebrate?

I had all intentions of getting him a basket and we were going to color eggs.

But now we are going to NC to visit my sister for Easter so we are still coloring and hiding eggs but we will be with my 4 year old and 1 year old neices so it is really for them.

Oh my gosh - you guys are soooo cute!!! Chat Icon

Me & DH actually have never had a holiday yet as a married couple (actually we NEVER had one together, since we dated long distance & it just never worked out on holidays) Chat Icon

I keep telling him tho that I WANT a basket!! My mother always gave me and my sisters one (even last year when I was 23. lol). So i hope we do. And i love the idea of coloring eggs together!! I'm gonna tell him that i want to do THAT together also. heehee.

I will be making him a basket and putting some stuff I like in it as well haha. My mother has always made me a basket even up to last year. She might even make one again for me this year...she is all sad I am not home anymore Chat Icon

but DH thinks I am a tool for doing so. I told him sorry your parents made you buy your own xmas presents and you never really celebrated easter or thanksgiving- NOT MY PROBLEM. haha plus he is benefiting from it he is getting a basket with candy I am sharing with him Chat Icon lol

Yes...we fill them with candy and something small we want. Last year Joe got guitar picks and a PS2 game and I got a book I really wanted and he took me to brunch. Gus(our dog) and Daisy(our cat) also have their own baskets and get small treats as well

We never did the easter basket thing b/c then we will have to eat all the candy and thats not good.

My mom makes a family basket and we just snack from that.

We color eggs w/ my family though.

If it werent for diets, we would probably make baskets too,

We really dont. I never really celebrated Easter that way - my parents always presented it as a religious holiday and we never even knew about the Easter bunny! Chat Icon but we did color eggs!

For a few years DH got me baskets from the store but that just faded out . . .

I think that is so cute though!

That's an awesome idea - I think I'm going to make us baskets!! Just because we don't have children doesn't mean the Bunny can't visit!!!

That's how it was for us growing up as well.

We always go to a nice Easter lunch hosted by someone in his family. Tons of food and yummy desserts.

Re: So I guess we're tools - Easter baskets..

we did when we first moved in together - and it ended up being like christmas Chat Icon we've toned things down recently - we just color eggs and thats about it....we aren't religious at all so easter really has no meaning for us and we dont have kids so there is no easter bunny nonsense so its kind of a non-holiday for us now....this year we have to make baskets for our nephew and my new niece so we probably wont get eachother anything this year (since our nephew has been born we make him a basket and don't really exchange with eachother - rather save money)

I think in the past we've given each other things ... we've been together for 7 years so I can't remember exactly! We haven't the past few years ... not sure why except that he's not religious and has started going away on a four-wheeling weekend every easter (why easter I do not know) -- so i go to my parents' house for dinner in the afternoon ... i may buy him a few small things this year though.

We do stockings at Christmas for each other but we've never done baskets. That's a great idea!

We will color the eggs. We don't do the baskets but we do stock up on the reeses peanut butter eggs, peeps and other candy. My mom still makes me a basket but I don't know if she will this year because she is going through a lot with my grandma and everything.

Get an assortment of those WW point cakes and any of the WW candies he might like.
