so I had a TTC moment last night
I stupidly tested yesterday afternoon... 11DPO. It was negative. No big surprise... it was BFN the morning of 10DPO. But I cried and cried all night... picked a huge fight with DH and now my eyes are almost swollen shut from all the crying! I feel like such a jerk. Dh made me breakfast in bed this morning.. Now I feel like more of a jerk
And the cramping got worse. It woke me in the middle of the night and my IBS is starting to act... so af is right around the corner. I am so out this month.
I just don't want to got the doctor and hear "IUI" next week... I know it will get me the same end result but it wasn't supposed to be like this and I am having such a hard time with it. I also know how much worse it could be but... for me.... I am devastated.
I just want to crawl back in bed and feel sorry for myself...
Thanks for indulging my pity party.

Indulge in the sadness - the best thing to do is just allow yourself to feel bad. After you get back from your doctor, I promise you, within a few days you'll start to feel better once you have a plan of attack

Re: so I had a TTC moment last night
Don't feel bad that you had a moment! You are suppose to have them & allow yourself to get upset. The more you hold it in, the worse it will be. I am with you, I thought the same thing, "this is not how it was suppose to be" but apparantly this IS the way.
Try to remain positive & see what the Dr says. You might only need the help this one time since the urologist did tell you to have the surgery done on DH's varicocele veins. I am here for you! Stephen is being wonderful!

Re: so I had a TTC moment last night
You have every right to feel the way you do. Believe me, been there, done that.
This will happen for you-maybe not exactly as you had planned but it will happen. And it sounds like you have a great guy at your side.
Wishing you all the best!!

I'm so sorry you're having such a hard time. You have a really good man for a DH I have to say....making you breakfast in the morning trying to make you feel better. It'll happen...keep the faith. But you and DH stick together

Re: so I had a TTC moment last night
I'm so sorry...moments of despair are totally normal, and it's great that you have a loving DH to make you breakfast in the morning. The idea of having to go through a "process" to get pregnant is difficult to wrap your head around, but in the end it will all be worth it. Hopefully #2 will be a very different situation! If you ever need to talk, FM me...I am going though the exact same thing. We'll probably be doing IUI's at the same time. I'll be praying for you.

I know my experience isn't the same as yours but I definitely understand how hard it is when you think things will be a certain way and they aren't.

Same here. I let myself cry when I need to. That usually makes me start to feel a little better.

Re: so I had a TTC moment last night
I am so, so sorry. It sux, it really does.
I have gone through some TTC issues recently myself, and so have my very close friends. We have had many daily pity parties.
The one thing we keep doing is reminding ourselves that it WILL happen for us. Don't look back at all the time spent. Move on to the next step and approach it with optimism.
Optimism is all I have left these days and it's what keeps me going. Feel better... and much for your potential IUI!

Re: so I had a TTC moment last night
Don't feel bad at all. I had one of those moments last week. You are allowed to feel sad even if things could be worse. Heck, I haven't been trying very long & I'm still having a hard time dealing with this. TTC is a difficult, emotional journey. Allow yourself to feel sad. I hope that if you do have to do IUI, you'll start to feel better about it.

Re: so I had a TTC moment last night
Sorry you feel so down. I remember what it was like when I was TTC and going back and forth to the RE and being disappointed each month but your time will come. Try and stay positive. If it's any consolation I had an IUI on January 2nd and I am now 14 wks. pregnant so it worked!! Try and keep an open mind about it. Maybe it will be that little extra help you need to get preggers. Try and cheer up......sending lots of hugs your way.

Re: so I had a TTC moment last night
Dont ever feel bad ab0ut being upset. this is a emotional rollercoaster and you have every right to let it out. Im sure your DH understands and did not take it personally. My dh is going to urologist to have surgery as well thats y i am so down if it doesnt happen for me this month i will be in the same boat having to have IUI. I know it doesnt seem like thats the way it is supposed to be, but remember that in the end we want a beautiful healthy baby and do whatever it takes to make this happen. CHin up hun!! I remember from the first day i logged on and was pregnant i have been rooting for you every month i will say extra prayers for you. it isnt over untill she shows

Re: so I had a TTC moment last night
Thanks everyone!!! I am so lucky to have this place to lay out all my feelings and not get crazy looks or stupid comments from people who don't know what to say!
I appreciate it and I am feeling much better now. I didn't even tear up when three of my students asked me why I don't have kids yet!

Re: so I had a TTC moment last night
I'm sorry you are going through this.
For all of us, this is something we all want pretty bad, yet have no control over, so it's bound to get frustrating and emotional. Your DH understands, hence his very cute gesture of breakfast in bed!
Anyway, as dauting as IUI sounds, it also sounds like it has been the light at the end of the tunnel for many ladies. This may be the solution, and hopefully you'll be PG in no time!!
Hang in there!!

Re: so I had a TTC moment last night
I had one of those last night and all day today. It's a long story that I really don't feel like divulging.
But I know what you're going through--my head actually hurts from all the crying I've done in the last 24 hours.
I hope you get your BFP soon.
