not for me to pry but i hada 9 lb 13 oz baby and i did it naturally i didnt really drop. i wasnt dialated and 2 days after my due date i gave birth
my concern with doctors is they are so quick to do a c section.
your post a week ago said you were dialated doesnt make sense why he would do a c section. JMO

I agree. It doesn't really make sense to me either. Some people never drop before labor, and people have big babies naturally all the time. If you're healthy and have a complication free pregnancy your doc shouldnt be so quick to suggest a c-section.

no pry away. I asked him that as well. He always told me he would much rather go vaginally, but if any red flag was raised, then he goes to c-section.
I am okay with it, at first I was shocked, we talked for 40 minutes in his office, he was very laid back. He gave me a few minutes to call Leo and see what he says. He suggested the c-section, I feel comfortable doing it.
My sil gave birth vaginally to a 10 pound 11 oz baby.

does that mean they are going to induce you? or are they doing a c section? when is your due date? these doctors today do c sections becuase they make more money and there are lest lawsuits that way. i was 2 days over my due date and was told i would be induced. there was no talk about a c section the baby wasnt breach so that is alittle concerning that if your not having complications, your dialated and your waiting to drop why they would plan a c section.

I asked if inducing was an option, he said he did not believe this is the situation for it. He said he is concerned with the baby's shoulder size.
He was very into discussion the options, and I think if I would have been gong ho on going naturally, he would have done that.
I told him I wanted to wait for my due date, so that's when we are doing it, on my due date.
The dr I saw at 38 weeks also thought this would end in a c-section. so this one said it as well. I know what you mean, I know our bodies are made for it. I think just in the office when he was saying his opinion, all I want is a healthy baby, and if he suggests it, that was all I cared about at the moment.

Oh my gosh Janice!!!! It's coming so soon! I can't believe you are through your pregnancy already! It went so fast (for me anyway LOL).
Everything will go fine!!! and you will have your little baby on Monday!! SO EXCITING! I Can't wait for pics!

Not to start drama, but let her doctors, who have seen her through her pregnancy, decide what is best for her and her baby.

first let me say that you do not get out of major surgery purdy... a c/s is major surgery, not a pedicure. You are not allowed to wear nail polish and make up and your favorite dress.
Not all doctors do what is best for their patients..trust me. I know. YOU need to make your healthcare decisions.
I don't understand why the doctor is scheduling you for anything. A due date is NOT an official date that is known to your baby. You can go for up to 14 days past your due date, unless you have medical issues. Your baby is fine, right? Your blood pressure? Your fluid levels?
Honestly, I would never allow this. You have NOT even gone into labor. MANY women, all over the world, have 8lb+ babies without surgery or medical risk to them or their baby. Plus a sonogram can be off by a pound. Your baby could easily be 7lbs right now.
Is this a practice or sole doctor? I would see another doctor. i would ask HARD questions and demand real medical facts.
If you said you wanted one then that is one thing, but if you do not want this surgery you do not have to allow it.

YAY JANICE!!! You're gonna be a mom soon!!! I know how you feel about wanting to go naturally but I am sure at this point you are ready to go whichever way... I know I was...
Just think no contraction pain....that was the worst part but the epi was the best!!  As long as everything else is well....
You're having a nice size bundle as well.... I can't wait to see what you're having!!!
Soon we can meet for playdates!!!
A little advice....... SLEEP AS MUCH AS YOU CAN TIL YOUR C SECTION DATE!! I haven't slept a decent night since the night went in to deliver...
