so i have "ignored" the same person FOUR times on facebook
do you think she will get the hint eventually?
i don't really want to block - that seems mean.
i don't even know why she wants to be my friend, she was nasty to me in HS

Could it be that this person has no idea that they had such a negative impact on you?
Maybe they just think, everyone's grown up now and they're just trying to reconect?
If you're really bothered by this person, maybe you should accept their request and then tell them how you feel.
Who knows, maybe it will be a good experience for you to make peace with the past not to mention let this person know how they hurt you.
I've reconnected with people from HS that I wasn't the best of friends with and I'm really glad I did. Everyone grows up and changes, you'd be surprised.
Just thought I'd throw out a different perspective since most people said to just block this person.

I agree. There are people I never got along with in HS, but now, IRL, we have a lot in common. I look at it this way: you have nothing to lose and a possible new friend to gain.

i agree with the OPs
I have had some people send me friend requests that I wasnt close with but sometimes it's nice to reconnect

Question about blocking. Can they not see anything? Like if you comment on a mutual friends photo can they see that? Also I know when somone comments on a friends photo. Your friends can see that persons photos. Would the blocked person be able to see yours?

If you want pu them on your limited friends list so that they are your friends, but they can not see your pictures or your wall.

honestly i think this is it
she is friendly with one of my best friends, so i know she turned out well, and is a pretty nice person
i really don't know why she singled me out in HS, maybe she really doesn't know what kind of impact she had on me
i think i am being a little spiteful but no matter how well i turned out, sometimes it's hard to turn the other cheek, KWIM?

My DH has this same problem. All of these random girls tat he was not even friends with growing up or in HS keep asking to be his friend, but he was never friends with them to begin with, so whydo you want to be his friend now? He got mad b/c I ignored them (we sort of share the page) but why do they need to be his friend?
