so i have my first appointment on the 14th
if my calculations are correct i will be 5 weeks 5 days.
the doctor is aware of the reason for my visit, i just wanted to know what to expect. will they do an sono? or just bloodwork? i know it might be too early to see the heartbeat but they should at least be able to see a sac right? TIA!!

I think I was 6 weeks at my first appointment. My doctor took my urine, checked my blood pressure, did a pap test (I was due for one anyway), weighed me and took about 7 vials of blood. I also got a prescription for prenatal vitamins.
My first sonogram was done at 8 weeks.

I got a sono, he checked to see how my cervix was. Basically gave me the guidelines on what foods are good and what to avoid.

every doctor is diff. Who is your doctor? My doctor doesnt do the first sono until 7 weeks

Same here. I didn't get a sono till week 9.

I was 7.5 weeks at my first appointment. They took my urine, blood pressure, lots and lots and lots of blood, and teh doctor looked inside to see if everything was as it should be. Oh, and he molested the CRAPPP out of my breasts. He didn't take a pap but I had one 2 weeks prior so there was no need.
I didn't have a sono until 12 weeks.

I think it might be early for a sono. I had mine yesterday 7.5 weeks and he did an internal sono. I go back in two weeks for blood work. Ithought he would haved done bloodwork yesteday but he didnt.
He also did a full exam - my dh survied it all

Possibly an internal sono and I am pretty sure they will be doing bloodwork. Good luck!
