You should see people's faces at work, I am a wedding stalker..I live in Staten Island, work in the city, but if you are getting married in a LI catering hall, I am capable of giving reviews.....I have never even been to a wedding on LI, and with the exception of Jones Beach I have never even been to LI

Don - it came out funny and had to edit. I wasn't trying to get a laugh at your expense, since I don't really know you
I LOVE Christmas and start playing music in November too, but this is a little early for me too. I knew it was coming when I got a catalogue recently with Christmas stuff on the cover.
BUT - aren't the Hallmark ornament collectors sort of a cult? I know someone who collects them and it is like they count the days until those things come out int he stores. A little odd

I collect Halmark Ornaments, wel mainly I buy them for my mom. I've bought her at least one every year for many years. I think since 1991. And I started getting some of my own in themes that i like, like Winnie the Pooh or Mickey and other disney related stuff. I LOVE them. I don't count down the days though, and when i buy for myself or there's an expensive one I want to buy for my mom (they can go up to $45 for musical, moving lght up ones), I wait untila fter xmas when they are 50% off on hallmark.com... oh wait....now I get a 50% discount as a hamark employee. ROCK ON! Mom is getting the craziest light up musical dancing cool ornament!
last year I bought her the most adorable "it's a small world" ornament. She saw it at the world's fair in 1964 and I saw it at WDW

Don I might not be a christmas decoration fan (I mean I LIKE it but I dont LOVE IT) .. however my brother's wife is just like you ..she LOOOVE Christmas, the music, etc
she takes a full week off work to decorate their house, (she even did this 9 months PG), starts this the week BEFORE Thanksgiving and normally doesn't take any of it down until AFTER Valentines day
Their tree is awesome, there is not ONE spot on it that does not have an ornament .. there must be hundreds and hundreds
Me - I look at it all and enjoy it but just think to myself I AM GLAD I DONT' HAVE TO PUT THAT ALL AWAY

You should see the christmas village my mom used to put up. it ook up half the living room. it was so creative and so detailed. She'd spend hours, even days working on it and she had the best techniques for making ehr own mountains or getting the snow just right. It's so maamzing I could just sit there and stare at it for hours, and sometimes I do. it's so peaceful!

That's how they all start out. My mom's massive vllage started with just a few pieces and she'd get a piece of teo every year and now it's just incredible. So cute! keep it going!
