So I think I found a really cooj job...

It's called the World Science Festival, and they have a festival in NYC each year to promote science to the public. JUST what I want to do!

I'm graduating soon, but I don't know HOW soon. Maybe defending in August, maybe early fall. I will know more in the next few months. I still have experiments to do but I am writing my thesis as I go along.

Anyways, should I contact someone there now or should I wait a few months? Is there a disadvantage to contacting them too early? Their busy month is June if that matters. I just want to tell them about myself and my interest and see what opportunities they have.

I would definitely contact them and see what its all about. It definitely doesn't hurt to show interest and if you can't be a part of it this year you could always follow up again in the future.

As a student, its always easier to begin networking. You can approach it as "I'd like to learn more about your organization, and get some advice..." It's better to start building relationships now, then to wait until you need a job.

absolutely reach out to them. even if you aren't grad. right away maybe they have P/T opportunities, internships, etc..you never know!
