So I thought I was on the right track
My past two cycles were consistent with eachother (both 45 days) now so far this cycle I'm on CD50, we leave today for a much needed vacation, and I can almost bet that TBAF is just waiting until we get there to show her ugly face. I really wish I couldn't get a handle on my cycle.

Re: So I thought I was on the right track
I am sorry I don't know your particular situation. I am still newish and learning. But I have heard of women using vitex to regulate their cycles. I was going to ask my ob/gyn about it but the metformin worked so I did not have to. Good luck and I hope af spares you on vacation

Re: So I thought I was on the right track
I know what your going through, my cycles are out of wack as well. The metformin is helping regulate my cycles. I hope things work out for you.

Re: So I thought I was on the right track
Did you talk to your doctor about it? Anything they can do to help regulate you?

Re: So I thought I was on the right track
Are you charting? Are you ovulating? You need to know the answers to these questions in order to move forward. I would definitely talk to your Dr., 45 -50 day cycles are not normal and may be a sign of other issues.

Yes, charting, and not ovulating.
I've been through a battery of tests, and the doctor believes (based on my blood work) that I do have PCOS, even though my internal sono showed everything is normal, and DH has been tested. So, I had one day of light spotting while we were away, and now nothing.
I'm so tired and frustrated with all of this right now and just want to throw my hands up at this point. I just don't know what else to do.

You're on Metformin and not ovulating? Have they discussede Clomid with you? I have read that Clomid alone can sometimes be effective for people with PCOS. Did your Dr give you a glucose tolerance test to check for PCOS? I have found through my experience that you really need to be your own advocate in this process. There are MANY journal articles online about PCOS-do a Google Scholar search

Yes, I was on clomid, and didn't respond to that either. She did do a glucose tolerance test on me too, and that came back normal. Actually what she said was that although it was considered normal, it was borderline normal. I'm really feeling very discouraged at this point and think we need to just take a break from eating, drinking and breathing TTC'ing right now.

Re: So I thought I was on the right track
If I were you, I would go straight to an RE. It sounds to me like your Dr. is not moving forward enough with you. If you are seeing an RE, then I would find another one. No answer is unacceptable - they should be figuring out what is going on.
