So Im 28 weeks and changing OB (Sorry so long needed to vent)

Hey guys I'm so upset! I have been having bad stomach pains for the past few days and my normal routine visit was 6:30 last night being i was in pain I was told by 2 nurses to come in at 6 for a sono i said ok. I get there and they tell me I was never in for the sono just the apt. I was sooooo upset and annoyed. Then after 45 min of waiting in the waiting room I get called to go in the exam room, after 30 minutes of waiting I asked the nurse how much longer since at that point I was starting and it was 7:30 they told me he would be another 20-30 minutes and to just relax. Seriously!!!!! Chat Icon I was like look Im shaky and need to eat so I can't wait any longer. All my apts are made at least 1 month in advance and yet I still sat there waiting for 2 hrs! So I called the coordinator and left a message she calls me this morning and tells me that I had to wait for the dr to see me to make the decision if i needed the sono or not. Than why did they make me rush in there for 6pm, meanwhile i had to leave work early for no apparent reason!
So this morning after no sleep last night I contacted numerous dr and no one would take me this late on, I found one thank god who will take be so Im going to see him tomorrow morning. Any reviews on Dr. Michael Polcino?

I am going through the same thing... I'm actually in tears right now, have been crying all morning. I am 27 weeks, and just got new insurance that my doctor doesnt take and need to find a new doctor. So everyone who gives recommendations for a doctor, I call and they don't take the insurance so I call the insurance company, they don't have a list online of providers, so they say what is your zip code and we will send you a list of local providers. I wait a week, get the list yesterday and guess what it is.... a list of every ob/gyn in Suffolk, not a list of everyone who takes their insurance, so I need to call them all up and ask if they take it... instead of waiting a week I could have googled suffolk ob/gyns myself and called them all. There are 11 pages, front and back and guess what, so far none of them take the insurance. I cant stop crying. I havent been to the dr since my level 2, i need to go bad and can't find anyone.
Now after reading your post, I didn't know that a lot of people won't take you if you are really far along...GREAT that's another thing I have to worry about if I ever find a doctor who even takes my insurance.. why do they have to make this so complicated... I'm having baby, things are stressful enough. Why can't men have babies so they understand this

So sorry to here about your drs office. I just wanted to tell you that I had issue after issue with mine and I keeped letting it go. Till I was 37 weeks pregnant and I could not take it anymore. I left and changed drs. It was the best decision that I made. Stick with your guns if somthing bothers you enough to want to leave then leave. I was so happy that I did. Good Luck!!

No word on the doctor you chose but I had to change doctors twice with my 1st PG! The first one was a beotch and I left her in my 2nd trimester. I LOVED the doctor I found but she stopped delivering 1 month before I was due Chat Icon so she referred me to someone else. And he turned out to be great too! So I guess everything happens for a reason! Chat Icon
