So I'm sitting here reading my Nook...
...at my desk. And a new co-worker comes by. She's a nice, older lady with librarian glasses. Very sweet! So she starts asking me about my Nook and asking me to see it and then asking what I'm reading. I squirmed a little and then told her "Dark Lover".   Then she asked what other kinds of books I like and I told her The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Hunger Games and books like that. So she looks at me all judgey and says "So sex and violence?" I don't think she'll be asking me for recommendations anytime soon.

I have to say, I really enjoyed it. My co-worker has been trying to get me to read this series for awhile but it sounded a little cheesy to me. But then again, whenever you try to explain a fictional universe, it seems pretty ridiculous to the other person.
I already DLed the second book!

The book I was caught reading was Dark Lover, the first in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I really liked it, though the second book was a little boring. But it's smutty vampires and definitely makes the Sookie books seem a little more tame.
