So is this REALLY a look that will be taking off?
Got a Kohl's flyer yesterday and was browsing it. This was a look in the Vera Wang section.
Really?
Are we now rocking black socks with sandals and cropped pants?
Looks like an 80 year old man look.

The sad part is- SOMEONE- I am not sure who-determines that this will be a new trendy look, and you will see all the sheep follow and start wearing it.

I've been seeing teenage boys do the socks and sandals thing for a while now. Everytime I see it, it reminds me how old I'm getting since I see no appeal to it at all!!

LMAO! This bc it's true and I have ran out with socks on with sandals. Usually to get mail or for the garbage can. In the summer if I'm around the house I do wear socks with shorts (ankle socks) mostly bc I work out and I have tile floor that is cold.
My 2 yr old DS wanted to try on his new summer shoes I got him and I was putting it on over socks just to try on and he yells that he won't wear summer shoes with socks.

Sounds like a great job. The power to dictate what awful looks are "in" and people will race to the store to buy them so they can take selfies while looking trendy and stupid at the same time lol. I would probably let the power go to my head.
That pic is awful. Shorten the pants into daisy dukes and she looks like my uncle when he bbqs. At least he's 70 and off the boat, what's her excuse? lol.

My DH has worn socks with his sandals the past few summers (he says it's more comfortable). I always make fun of him for it, but what do you know... he was just ahead of the trend

I remember male jocks doing this in high school and that was in the 90's. I always thought they looked like idiots but I figured there was some reason behind it. Something to do with showering in the lockeroom maybe?

Oh I totally agree with you. I'm sure there are women out there that will say "That looks cute" and wear it even. I don't get "fashion" sometimes.

It's bad enough seeing tourists walk around NYC dressed like this.
Never in a million years would I ever consider the sandal/sock combination.
The outfit would look cute with black flats and
maybe little white anklets.
Might have done that in my 20's when I worked for a sock company. Not now.
