So I've found the trick of how my DD will play by herself without constantly whining

I'm hiding....

I'm sooo serious...all day she's mainly in full view of me, whether I'm in the kitchen etc..she sees where I am...and whines and can't sit still for more than 5 minutes...
Well just now I needed a time out...she has been sitting and playing, singing and watching curious george for the past 45 minutes while I'm sitting at our kitchen island on our laptop and she can't see me...

Is that awful!?!?!?!?

Not awful at all!!

That's just how kids are..

it's the same as when I get to my mom's house and my kids get all clingy and whiny and my mom will say "I hate to say this, but they were soo good all day.. they didn't start to act up until you got here" lol Chat Icon

Enjoy it momma!Chat Icon

OH! We have to do that too.
She is fine in her exersaucer until she sees us.
Then she freaks out.

I have avoided doing things that I need to pass through the living room to do just to avoid her seeing me.

The daycare teacher says she sneaks around her too when she is there...so at least it's not just me!

Not terrible at all. Entertaining themselves is good for them!

UGH I wish she entertained herself more. She's very very independent in general when she's around other kids anything that is not in the house she could care less wher I was or what I was doing, but at home she's up my azz all day

Oh I do that, I sit in the dark with my laptop in the dining room so DS can't see me on days he seems to be demanding my attention!

I do the same thing. And when I walk down the hall passed the den where she is, I run passed the doorway so she doesn't spot me! Chat Icon
