So mad and upset with DH....
....he got upset with me for buying the baby clothes yesterday. Granted we dont know what we are having so i bought some things at Carters that were like $5 a piece. He didnt care about the money i spent he basically said that doing this is almost like bad luck. I am so not superstitious. Then he was like why cant you wait like everyone else does. He said you are goign to get so much from family and friends. Urghhhhhhh this urks me to death.
He proceeds to say I dont want to see what you bought b/c i just dont believe in it. (meaning buying clothes before the baby is born). At the end he realized he made me mad and then wanted to see what I bought.
He made me so mad I am so heated with him. Why are men just so insensitive at times? I really cant stand DH right now.

Mine tends to roll his eyes when I buy things or mention cleaning up the nursery. Men can be so removed from the whole experience sometimes.

Awwww...dont let it get to you.
1st we are women who like to shop in general so this is a bonus for us since well shopping for ourselves isnt that fun right now (ex: maternity clothes  ).
I have bought my girl a few outfits and just now my DH is saying, awwwww...how cute and smiling as I show him the outfits.
He will come around soon...You'll see!

seriously...is maternity clothes shopping not the WORST shopping experience there is? there has to be some other outlet!

We have exactly the opposite problem. I am the superstitious one, so to balance I let him buy what he wants but he has to keep it somewhere other than my house until the baby is here.

Mine gets so mad when I mention buying clothes. To date we have only bought one onesie.
After the shower when I see what I get as gifts I am going on a shopping spree and I am hiding it from him

Does he really expect you to buy clothes after the baby is born?
I would have explained to him the following situation: You are going to give birth to a NAKED baby at the hospital. After just giving birth, your first stop on the way home is to stop to buy clothes.
Personally, I am going to wait a bit but since I am not sure how big the baby will be (and I know it's a boy so it's even easier!) I will wait to be closer to the DD to buy outfits. But I will buy some clothes. I already bought some basic onesies and a couple of pant for $1.98 each since I know I will need them. I am just waiting for the actual outfits.

I have been buying clothes for a while - no shame to my game. There is nothing I like more right now than to shop for my little girl. Although - I do try to stick to clearance and sale items AND I have to love the items I buy (rules I put on myself )
I have had people constantly tell me that I should not buy things (i stop showing those people what I buy  ) because I will get so much at my shower. Not for nothing but it's not a guarantee that people will buy me things. Either way - I will appreciate the items I get but at the same time I want to pick out things for my little girl too..so I do. lol
Sounds like your DH is just nervous and a little superstitious. Hopefully he will come around. In the meanwhile - enjoy your purchases!
