So mad at DH - could it be hormones? VENT

I'm been sooooo mad and annoyed wiith DS lately. I actually sometimes feel like I hate him - not nice I know... We have DC 18 months old and I'm 14 wks pregnant with our second child. I've been very worried and stressed about so much. We recently moved, I need to find a new job (because my drive is crazy), DH works two jobs and I have a toddler and I'm pregnant. I understand that DH works a lot - I know that but when he's home it's like he's not home. I feel like the only time he's nice to me or gives me attention is when he wants something *(wink wink).

I just see woman who have super supportive husbands that are so in tune with their needs and I don't have that. He never asks if I want a drink or do I need anything from the store. He doesn't even ask me how I'm feeling. There are days I wonder why I'm having a second child with this person when I don't even like him. Again, I'm not sure if the hormones are making me not like him even more. I just feel so sad.

Thanks for taking the time to read this ramble.

Definately sounds like you have a lot on your plate. Its normal to be angry at the one person who got you here- your DH. A lot of this can be the hormones but I also think its just everything you have going on right now. I would talk to your DH about how upset you are feeling and that its not easy to be pregnant, looking for a new job and handling a toddler. I am sure he is just overwhelmed with his stuff going on that he doesn't even know what you are going through.

Oh, and I would love to know who this in tune DH is that responds to all his wife's needs without being told. Have you seen this man on a sitcom or something? Because I have yet to meet a DH who doesn't need to be TOLD when you you need some help. Chat Icon

Hang in there and start giving yourself a break and speaking up about what you need. Of course you are going to resent your DH- you need him to give you a hand. But first he needs to know this. Chat Icon

I agree. When DW gets annoyed with me, it's usually because she thinks I understand what she wants and needs. Even men who are understanding, and try to interpret what women want, often fall short. We don't know what you want. If he's really willing to make things right, he will appreciate you telling him what you want and need (maybe not at first..... Chat Icon , but he will). It will make both of your lives easier if you can talk with him.
