So my 20 month old DD finally had peanuts................
..................and it turns out she's been having them since she was basically a year old and we never noticed!!  We eat at 5 Guys burger joint every so often and my DD loves the french fries so we give her 2-3 with her grilled cheese sandwich. No big deal! Turns out............they are fried in peanut oil!!! We never realized!! (Good thing I keep Benadryll in the diaper bag) Luckily she was fine but can you imagine??? Duh me!!!
Anyway, we were there the other day and she wanted the actual peanuts so we chopped a few in half and let her have them and she LOVED them and was perfectly fine. So it would seem she's okay with nuts although I am not surprised since we have no family history of food allergies.

whew! So glad she never had a reaction! I guess it's always smart to check and see what they fry things in.
I've never had 5 Guys and I hear it's AMAZING. Will have to check it out...we have a bunch around us here.
