So my cat did something weird...
Should I be concerned?
We have a baby gate-type thing at the top of our stairs (it's not a gate...more like a solid plywood barrier, DH made it). Anyhow, on Wednesday night as I was getting DD ready for bed I heard a loud crash. DH came in the room and told me that our cat ran full-force, head-first into the barrier. And he did it again about 10 minutes after that! Usually, the cat runs up the stairs and jumps right over the barrier. I called the vet the next day, and he called me back today but I missed his call.
Do you think his vision is going? He's about 5 years old. Thanks for reading!

I'm not really sure what that could have been, but five is not old for a cat.
Have you heard back from your vet? I hope everything is okay.

Thank u. Nothing like that has happened since, so I'm hoping it was just a weird fluke. The vet said it sounds strange, but he didn't tell us to bring him in. He had us do a quick vision test on the cat (tap the cat's nose and see if he blinks). The vet said he probably got spooked by something
