So, now I feel guilty
Arg...I'm a emotional trainwreck. Poor DH (even though he is causing some of my issues!)
Anyway, as I've written on here before, we 100% disagree on whether or not to find out the sex. My level II is next week and I have been nagging him for months (years really, because we argued about this long before I got pregnant) that we really do want to find out. It all came to a head last night and he finally agreed that we can find out, as long as I let him not find out with one of our next children (god-willing). I am ecstatic, but now I can not shake this feeling of guilt I have that he really doesn't want to find out. He says he will not resent me and is excited to find out, but I kind of worry this will come up down the line that I always "get my way." Plus, I had it already in my mind that we weren't going to find out and now I just feel terrible. Dang hormones!!! I told him, no no we won't find out, and now he's insisting.
Ugh, what should I do? Either way, I feel like the fun and excitement has been kind of sucked out of the whole thing.

I think once he hears "its a / " he will be completely overwhelmed with joy and excitement and any resentment he *may* have had towards you will be long gone! Dont beat yourself up over it!

Re: So, now I feel guilty
No one can tell you if you should find out or not. BUT.. maybe you can use this as a comforting thought....
People always say that they dont want to find out because they want it to be a suprise. Regardless of when you find out, its still going to be a suprise. Knowing ahead of time just makes it easier as far as getting things ready in advance. If you both work, or spare time is limited for whatever reason, it might be nice to know and be able to get things together ahead of time this way you can relax alittle bit more once you're home and baby is home!

Re: So, now I feel guilty
What if you use that tip recently of having the tech write it down, and seal it in an envelope, perhaps even give the envelope to someone you trust who will NOT open it until you BOTH ask them to???? That buys you a few more days to think about it if that will help? I understand your concern w/DH, but like pp said I agree, he will be SOOOOOOO overwhelmed regardless!!!!

i totally agree with this. katie you know chris isn't vindictive or spiteful, he just loves you - that's why he "caved"!! i seriously doubt he will hold it against you, and i love the idea of not finding out with the next one.
just keep in mind that you have to be a little more flexible when it comes to names now
