So sad for my friend...
I was supposed to be a BM in my friend's wedding party on the 16th, but the wedding is being called off, by her fiance's choosing. They had a huge fight on Sunday and there were issues that he does not feel can be worked on at this point. They are not just postponing - it's over.
My friend asked me if I would hang out with her on what would have been her wedding day. She is obviously devastated. I told her that we could do whatever she wants. I have a feeling we're going to watch some movies. Any suggestions for any really good comedies, or other good suggestions for what I should do with her on that day? I just feel terrible.

Go away somewhere (like the Borgata in AC), get rip roaring drunk and play a game at the bar like, see how many guys can buy her drinks or something harmless. If it were me I would need to still feel like I still "had it". For me, sitting around seeing romantic comedies would only make me more upset if I was in her position.

Great idea, but unfortunately, my friend is not the type to have more than one drink, be outgoing with guys, party, etc. She is very introverted. Her words were "something low-key would be good."
No romantic comedies though...just comedies!

Drinks + your BFF + hot guys buying you drinks + dancing with some of those said guys = What was his name again??? That guy who was a pudwhacker and decided not to marry the best damn thing that EVER happened to him??????

I agree. Maybe it's time she change it up.

get a few bottles of REALLY GOOD french champagne, a chocolate cake...and a few boxes of tissues.
I would make my house as comfortable as possible for our chick love fest. I would make it a pyjama party. i would be prepared to drink, eat, and cry...in often erratic order...and know that no matter what, she will be in enormous pain that day.
but it's better to be in pain with french champagne if you ask me.
i am very sorry for your friend. there are better days ahead.
