So Sad....may be having a c-section!
Well, I will try to make this as brief as possible. 6 weeks ago my baby was head down....2 weeks later the baby was breech. I went to the hospital and was contracting, so they prepared me for a c-section. My doctor decided to do one last sono and the baby had rotated once again! We were so happy and I went home the next day. At last Monday's appointment the baby was still head down....
Tonight we just found out the baby is BREECH once again....
Pretty much we are preparing for a c-section next Monday if I don't go into labor before then. I am soooooo sad and scared....this is crazy!
I had the most wonderful labor and deliver with my first son....why is this happening!

I am having my 2nd c-section on Thursday. It's scary, but you will be in good hands! I'm sorry you're so upset and I hope that the baby flips for you again! Just remember at the end of the experience is a perfect little baby!

Re: So Sad....may be having a c-section!
I have nothing to compare it to but I have a great experience with my c/s with DS. In the end all that matters is you have your new baby in your arms.
You will be fine no matter how you deliver!

Thank you for all the advice, support, and hugs...I'm trying to prepare myself for this!! In the end, all that matters is a healthy baby!

I'm sorry Carissa! I know how much you want to go natural. I pray the baby turns again and no C-section will be needed, but your right as long as everything is ok and the baby is healthy that's what matters!!! xoxo

Oh wow, I'm sorry!
Maybe they will still move, if they already have moved around this much so far, anything is possible.

Re: So Sad....may be having a c-section!
I just had a c section and when the dr told me i was heartbroken! I SOBBED for 24 hours straight. so I know exactly how you feel. The only thing that made me happy was talking to other c section btdt mamas.
My experience was awesome the nurses at north shore manhasset became my bff instantly and we chatted like old gfs about their relationships etc and laughed the whole time. DH was holding me and when we saw our baby it was so amazing he got to hold him right away and the whole time i was getting stitched up the three of us were just in love. DS was born at 3:11 and was on the boob from 4-430am. if you want to talk let me know

Re: So Sad....may be having a c-section!
Lots of hugs!! hope everything works out.
If it helps any, when the baby is actually here and you look at him/her for the first time, I don't think it will matter to you the way you delivered.

Re: So Sad....may be having a c-section!
worst case is you end up with the C but in the end you still get your LO focus on that and try not to worry - i understand that it's not the kind of birth you wanted (which stinks!) but in the end the prize is still the same. hopefully the baby turns again but if not hang in there!!

Re: So Sad....may be having a c-section!
While not ideal, a c section can be a good experience (as good as surgery can be anyway)
My first was a c section and this one will be too.
This time around I know better how to manage my body. For me, staying ahead of the pain is key. I loved the nurses in Winthrop, but it wasn't their job to remind me to take pain meds. I kept track of when I could have more meds, and I buzzed for them when it was time. There was a day when I lost track and when the pain hit me, I was miserable. Even once I got home, I was only taking Motrin, but I took it evey 4-6 hours whether I felt ok or not. There is so much going on with a new baby, limiting your pain can only help you.

this is very true!! i agree -- keep track of when you had your last pain med b/c a couple times i let the pain really creep back in & was miserable till that next pain med kicked in!
