So sad...not sure where to post...
but this is where I normally am.
We are going to put our house on the market. We are never going to get out of debt by owning this house. We plan on renting for a bit and then we can pay off some bills.
We got denied a refinance at a lower rate because of our debt to income ration is too high. But we are never late with payments. I don't understand. Yes, I know we have some debt, but how can I pay it down if I can't reduce my payments for my mortgage? I just don't understand. I can see if I paid late and stuff, but we want lower payments so we can get rid of our debt.
Plus this month I have to start repaying my student loans.
We have utilized every trick in the book to save and make more money, its just not possible. I am a very frugal person too.
I don't even know if we will sell our house. We bought high and now the market is lower than it was 2 years ago.

One that would sit down and go over a budget with you and any ways to help lower your debt, interest rates, etc.
I know some Moms on here work in the financial field...they may be better able to help

Can you get a forbearance on your student loans and then put that money toward your mortgage?

I would ask for a forbearance too. When I graduated college I got a few extensions because of financial hardship.
Just some idea's... I don't know if any are possible....
What about consolidating your debt? My girlfriend and her husband just did this... it saves them hundreds of dollars a month and they can pay off their debt in 5 years.
Can you borrow money from parents?
's - I've walked in your shoes... just know that its possible to get out of debt.

I was going to say the same thing. It's not the best thing because you accrue interest but it may be a temporary help.
