My point is there is NO reason to come on here and POST and flaunt a "company" car- Im sure there are many on here that have company cars and dont post it- Hey heres a question, if your company gave you a hugo would you post it? prob not, point in case.
You know what, if my company gave me a great car to drive, I would be excited too. She's not trying to "flaunt" it, she was just trying to share her excitement. Isn't that what we all do here? Share things. We share the good, the bad and the ugly. If I posted that I was pregnant, would you say I was "flaunting" it to those of you who may not be? No absolutely not, I wouldnt say that about a pregnancy or anything else for that matter - when its presented the right way. so many were asking questions and she didnt reply to them- only but mine, . I just dont think it was right. I am excited for her, sounds like her DH is headed in the right direction, working for a good company.
Sorry but I have 2 children and a p/t job...wasn't able to sit here and answer post by post...but I did answer 1 or 2 of them, so don't feel so honored

I will say it out in the open as well - girlygrl your comments were rude and uncalled for. Why bother to write that? All you had to say was "nice car".
BTW - nice car! And best of luck to him on his new job. Everyone on here agrees to disagree. thats what forums are all about. sorry you felt they were rude.

Why ? we dont know eachother? Im not embarrassed if someone on here says something I dont agree with? She cant drive the car- if the dealership found out that is grounds for termination. The problem is you guys dont know the business so youre throwing comments out there that dont apply. Yea she can take it around the block with him in it but god forbid they get caught he could lose his job, just helpful insight here. A dealer plate could say dealer on it or can be a regular plate registered to the dealer- still a dealer plate- edited to add

Re: So this is DH's new car...
Janice...All she was doing was sharing her excitement about her DH's car. It was totally out of line to tell everyone how you assume he DH got it- the only ones who know are his job. Why put such a nasty spin on it, especially since you don't KNOW for a fact that all those bad things happen.

Why put such a nasty spin on it, especially since you don't KNOW for a fact that all those bad things happen. Im not sure what youre talking about. It is a DEMO car, and I know for a fact that its called that- they either get a demo allowance or a demo car he opted for the car, and they DO do all of those things. My family is in/owns the business/dealerships.
SHe totally misrepresented the whole "company" car, leaving out valuable details for you all, AND I am giving her tidbits regarding the business since I live it everyday too!!!!! my DH is a GM at a "high end" dealership, but who cares Im not flaunting that, Im mentioning it b/c for some reason I have to prove I know what Im talking about. Everyone was asking on what company does he work for, how can they get a car like that. and I answered. If she cant take the heat, then dont reply and trust me when her DH finds out about this, I dont think hes going to be too happy since hes just starting out in the business and in his eyes may think hes making enemys due to this but hes not. We need good salemen and I hope he does well!
This is one topic I know all too well about.

OH and by the way- here is another tidbit and Stacy this is to only help you, be aware that they do send out "cars" to see who is driving what. a dealer plate could say dealer on it or can be a regular plate registered to the dealer- still a dealer plate- I dont need to brush up as you said, they dont give out vehicles and say ok here you go- they do have "runs" and "pop ups" to see whos behind the wheel and dealer plates have a certain code on them- other dealers know what to look for, and its sad but they do rat on eachother, Its a messed up business, very lucritive but can also be very shady, unfortunately.
First of all, I'm not driving the car, and second of all, doesn't seem you know much about the business anymore, either

Really Stacy...you have your nerve...
Not giving us the intimate, behind the scene details about this car...like who blew the first fart in it, at what manufacturing plant it was built in, etc. So un-cool of you Of course you should have known ALL of this before you dared posted this thread and made us ALL jealous because NONE of us could actually be happy for someone and share in their excitement over good fortune and happenings in their life.

This is one topic I know all too well about, I worked in a car dealership for my uncle while I was in college, thats how I met my DH.
Just because you and your family work in the industry doesn't necessarily mean you know how each dealership is run. Isn't is possible that her DH's company handles things differently than the places you worked for?
I think the car is great and I'd be excited to share that news too.

I think the car is great and I'd be excited to share that news too. No, I know what dealership Jim works in, this is what I mean, how you guys dont know what you are talking about. If you knew anyting about dealerships they own more than just 1 or 2 they own the branch, which Im not going to get into here. Especially a mercedes dealership. they all run the same with minor details like how their up system goes, but not in the general way on how a dealership runs, the controllers all take the same classes. the only difference is some dealerships dont let the salesman have a mind of their own, that they need to go to the box and ask a million questions from the GSM instead of having the computer and info on their desk. At his he def should have the computer at his desk with the pricing info and rebates he needs to sell the car. I never said I wasnt happy for her , and I did wish him luck on many posts allready.
