So this morning, DH and I woke up to....
a HUGE flood in our kitchen!!!
We changed the bottle on the water cooler last night before we went to bed and something went terribly wrong because this morning we woke up to ALL 7 GALLONS on our kitchen floor.
We have no idea how it happened and it was such a PITA to clean up and the LAST thing I wanted to do this morning!
Now - the question - Do you think we should get rid of our water cooler? I am afraid of this happening again!

Ohhhh man that sucks!!
Why dont you fill the bottle up a little bit and put it on the cooler and see why its leaking.

Is it like a Poland Spring type deal where they come and deliver the water to you? If it is, I would definitely call them and ask them to look to see if there's a leak in the seal.

Ugh - the same thing happened to me at work!!! I have a wall behind my desk and the water cooler is on the other side. Some one left it running (b/c the nozzle sticks) and I came into work with a flood under my desk. There is carpet here so not much we can do except wait for it to dry!

I wish we bought it from Poland Spring, but we bought the cooler at BJ's and get our refills there as well, so it's not like we can call in a repair person or anything.
DH was in a fantastic mood this morning

Uuugh that sux. It happened to my parents last month. They got their cooler from Home Depot. My father "tested" it and turns out he didn't have something on tight enough or something like that.
I know it was a big mess! Im sorry it happened to you.

This happened to us after we moved. Not sure what caused it. It's better now thankfully.
Did you move it recent - into a new spot? Or does the bottle have a leak in it?

We have had it for about a year in the same spot - so my guess is that the bottle had a crack in it, which I hadn't even though of until another poster mentioned it!
Hopefully we won't have to get a new cooler!

We got ours at target and we get our water from BJs also. I've had a bottle with a leak in it before- but luckily it was at the top of the bottle so when I flipped it over it leaked into the spout and there was no flooding. HTH! I would take the cooler outside and try a different bottle- see what it does.
