Woke up w/RED spotting this morning...UPDATE
Its tapered off a bit now but I'm sooo nervous, but I'm trying not to be at the same time...I have no serious cramping, just the usual slight cramping...I'm going to the Dr. at 12pm. Last sono at 10 weeks everything looked perfect
Hi all, thank you all for your posts, it feels so good knowing others had this and all was OK. So I went to the Dr., he did a sono, and all was great w/the baby (sooo cute, got some good pics!). Then he did an internal exam and didn't see anything ... but he saw the blood and sent me home...he put me on bedrest until futher notice (poor work, I'm an accountant and we are super busy). I am home now relaxing w/my kitty cat! I'm not too worried, thanks to you all  My ultrascreen is Thursday of next week so hopefully the bleeding will stop and the ultrascreen will give me some answers. to you all!

I know you can't help but be worried, this happened to me too. Try and relax and get some rest. Are you hydrated? Feel better and keep us updated

Try to stay calm.
Can I ask you a TMI question? Have you been constipated and straining to go to the bathroom? Because that can cause spotting on the paper and in the bowl and it is really from going number 2.

Yes, straining last night actually...I even worried a bit last night about it. The blood this morning was definitely from the baby hole  Did you mean straining can cause spotting this way also?

I just need to laugh at "baby hole"
It may still be from going number two....when this happened to me, it looked like it was coming from the aforementioned "baby hole", but it was really coming from my hiney.

yup, if you've got hemorrhoids it can definitely look like spotting. it's happened to me too

It can be a number of things. I had red spotting twice. Once was a cyst that ruptured & bled, the second was my placenta (my placenta is covering my cervix). good luck at the Dr.

That is what happened to me too. The doctor said to relax and drink water and as long as there are no cramps, it is most likely ok.
Then a week later when I went for the ultrascreen they said I have placenta previa and that because I shoveled and BD'ed, the bleeding was from that.
Keep us updated!

I hope everything is okay. I have bled pink/red a few times and it was all because of straining when going to the bathroom. The "bearing down" action rubs the outside of the cervix or something and that is how it happens (in my case).
I hope everything turns out okay for you!!

I hope they can give you an answer soon! I had to wait until my 20 week level II to find out about my placenta, but I did not go to the ultrascreen so maybe they will see it at that point!
