So, today we met at work to discuss my maternity leave!
Wow - things are really beginning to hit close to reality!!!!
I'm realizing - my life will never be that same ever again...

How long do are you staying out of work? DH and i had a discussion over the weekend about it. I get 6 paid weeks for a normal delivery, but then i can be out for up to a year without pay. I will probably stay out at least 6 months and then go back on a gradual return basis, depending on what our child care situation is going to be.

I banked 2 wks of sick pay from last year, and then I get 6 wks paid leave (short term disability) - so I will be taking 8 wks all together....

That's about what I'm taking. I'd take more [company allows it], but I wouldn't go back.
