so we are thinking of moving....(vent)

I love the house we rent dearly it is a decent size with 3 bedrooms, but our landlords are suppose to take care of the yard work and it is soooooo gross out there, now I did some work the other day but then the people who live in the downstairs part, took there cig. butts and threw them everywhere. DH is fed up and I am about there as well..... but moving all this stuff plus Madison stuff is going to be rough................

just had to vent

and to add we would have to be gone by December 1, which stinks so i have to start looking next month so we can move in November........

Moving is no fun when it's just 1 person, but add in a baby! Ugh!

Lots of luck!! I know it's not easy--any part--looking, moving, getting settled in, etc.

Maybe have a talk with them..the owner. Let them know that you helped in making the yard better but "others" arent and you may consider moving if it dosent get better.

me and dh lived in your type of situation when we first got married and it sounds like the same kind of problems. We are now in a beautiful rental and honestly, we answer to no one except ourselves. No one bothers us...its awesome. Maybe you should check into something like this. What area are you looking in?

I rented in a complex for 6 years. It was great. I loved my townhouse! No one bothered us and vice versa. When something would break, maintenance was right on top of it. Never had to worry about the lawn being mowed or forgetting about trash day. But then it all went down hill when the horrible neighbor moved in next door. Neighbors can really make or break your living experience.

Now I live in an apartment in someone's house and while it's pretty nice and fine for now, it's not ideal and Nicholas keeps saying "I wish we had our old place back" Chat Icon

Chat Icon OP. Moving just really stinks!

It stinks, but it is totally doable. We moved during Christopher's first month of life. We found out current place when he was one week old and were completely moved in by the time he was 4 weeks old.

Our landlords live across the street, and while we were nervous about that at first, it really works out quite nicely. They are nice, and if we need something done, they do it right away.

We found a good amount of houses on craigslist actually in our price range ($1,500-$1,800) and we have a dog (which sometimes you'd think was leprosy when you rentChat Icon ) and we did ok.

We moved from our apartment into a house when Maddie was six months old & Joseph was 3 years old. We loved our old apartment (my sister lived next door), hated the huge hill it was on & were getting killled in taxes. Definitely not easy to do. Coming home from work & packing was exhausting. Not impossible, but definitely harder.

On the other hand, absolutely ADORABLE "We've moved" announcements with the kids in a moving box.

Thanks everyone.... last night when Madison was sleeping, DH said lets go in the other room and see what we don't need...... we started to throw stuff out that is old and we never use........so starting now is not bad but still is sad, bc i thought we were going to stay here for a long time but at $2000 a month we can find somthing cheaper and save a lot more money faster

Good thing to get a head start! And yes, you can find something better for that price or less!!!
