So what do you think the feds will do with rates this week?

I would love to see them lower them again so I can refinance and save some $.Chat Icon

probably lower them- but remember that mortgage rates are more responsive to the bond market, not short term rates (unless you get a HELOC!)

I am hearing that we will see a .25-.50% drop. Some have said a .75% drop but I don't see that happening....as the last poster said...just because the prime drops there is not a direct drop in mortgage rates...this last drop atually seemed to raise rates a bit.

did it raise rates? Three weeks ago the rates were at 6%, now you can get a conforming rate much lower.

did it raise rates? Three weeks ago the rates were at 6%, now you can get a conforming rate much lower.



rates keep dropping- they are closer to 5.25% now

do you think rates will be lower in the summer?
eta: i would love to get 5% i wonder if that will happen soon. i currently have a 6.5 and a 6.875 second mortgage.
