So what time should I expect Trick or Treaters??

We just moved into our nighborhood so I was wondering what time do kids start trick or treating?? Before this we lived in an apartment int he city so we never got any trick or treaters.

Also how much candy do you usually give per kid?

weekday-- we usualy get after dinner so @6 im expecting. we are giving pre-baaged pretzels =so we giving 1 per child. otherwise if cand was small, i would put 3-4 pieces in a bag and give one per child..

Re: So what time should I expect Trick or Treaters??

I remember when I first moved to LI we had TOT'ers ALL day long. I think parents usually bring the little ones out early in the day. I was surprised because where I come from the town sets a time for it (like 6-8pm).

I'm actually happy that I won't have to pass out candy this year and can walk the neighborhood with the kiddos.

My nephew doesnt get off the bus until about 3:45, he said he is planning on having a snack and then going trick or treating. He is 8. I think Taylor and I are going to tag along since she is too little to actually trick or treat.
