So What's The Deal With Chemical Pregnancies?
Since I had 2 in a row, I have been researching chemical pregnancies online. I know this is a just a nice way of calling it a very early miscarriage. I was wondering if anyone has gone through specific types of testing after this happens to find out what is going on.

I think that its just your bodies way of saying that something isn't right with the fertilized egg. Many of us know the SECOND we start producing HCG because we are so closely monitored. The reality is, I'm sure many women have these and don't even know it. They might see it as AF being a day of two late.
I would ask your dr and see what he/she says. I'm unfamiliar with any testing for this problem.

ITA. Also, have they checked your progesterone all along? I think Lauren said there's a certain panel of tests that can be done--- I'm sure when she sees this, she'll fill you in on what she knows, b/c she just got tested for it last week. Hang in there sweetie. I do agree, it's your bodys way of letting you know that something wasn't right w/ the egg... even though it doesn't make it hurt any less.

Try FMing LaurenEXp or Melijane - they both have a lot of experience with chemicals. You will probably need to see a more specialized RE who will run full blood workups on you and your DH.

Re: So What's The Deal With Chemical Pregnancies?
I had an early miscarriage at 6w3d, I may have possibly had a chemical back in December. I expressed my concern about having another micarriage to my RE and she said that usually they only test after 2 miscarriages, but she could run the panel on me if I wanted. So I told her I did because I wanted to know now if something was wrong. Its the recurrent miscarriage panel. They test for autoimmune and clotting disorders. I am not 100% clear on exactly what they tested for at this point, but it was about 10 vials of blood. I know there are others who are more knowledgeable than me on this topic.

I've had two. Like someone else said, they are very early miscarriages. I would discuss with your doctor if there are tests you have not had that you should have since you had two. I'm so sorry. Good luck!
