all you need is one friend/aquiantance to make a comment about the town you live in, the car you drive, the way you talk, act, dress, the venue u had your wedding at, the size or shape of your E-ring to make a person get all bent out of shape.

Something like this happened to me, but it wasnt about the person saying something about the town i live in but about the shape stone i liked. Lets just say i second guess myself all the time. but i have learned as long as i love it
its all that matters

I think " white trash " is relevent in any town, I grew up in Bayport and its a pretty snazzy town and there were white trash there too, As long as you are happy who cares what other people think. Its not like you are just going to pick up and move cause Joe schmoe siad its funky in there opinion.

That is all it takes to get you bent out of shape?

Because that is certainly not me..

I could careless what MOST people think about the car i drive, the town i live, wherei had my wedding at...

Sorry but i have a LOT more confidence in MYSELF than to let anyone get me bent out of shape...

And i truly believe that if all it takes is one person to make you second guess the decisions you have made for yourself....then you need to seek some help.
ESPECIALLY what people say on a CHAT BOARD...

DOn't get me wrong there are definitely people whose opinions i care about...
My parents, my CLOSE friends..

And if they did questiong something, a decision i have made...SURE i would really take what they said into consideration...

BUT ULTIMATELY...oncei have made a decision...i am confident in them

At work...MY boss is the only person who would make me second guess anything i have decided..

If a co-worker said i looked like a guidette....sorry but that would make me laugh...

And on this CHAT BOARD...i seriously couldn't give a crapola what anyone thought on a decision i made...

SOrry but this is your LIFE we are talking about here...I really am not going to let some posters judgement or opinion effect me in that way...

And if you do...i highly suggest that you do not read certain threads...

Because there is a LOT of different opinions out there...

Like i said..no town is perfect for everyone

Who cares what other people think. Every town has its good and bad parts and good and bad people. DH's brother called me "white trash" b/c I grew up in Patchogue-Medford and he grew up in Rockville Centre. I just laughed at him considering we are the same age and at the time (before we got married) I owned my own car, my own co-op and had a great job and he still lived at home!!!
