DD got it for Hanukah... does anyone else's Elmo have a hard time staying upright though? Ours is always falling over... that stool thing seems to be too small!
The stool is important? I thought it was part of the packaging and threw it away!!!!

Colin got him from Nanny tonight - he loves him  We should have opened him last - nothing else could compare. Our favorite part is when
Elmo "toots"  and then blames it on the kid playing with him 
toots??? As in, farts???? I haven't heard that yet!!!!

We haven't heard that either yet. I do love when he makes a joke and then the crickets come on and he asks if the mic is on DD loves this toy too! But she does try to stand on that stupid little stool

Kaitlyn got it and loves it too! We brought it over to my parent's house for their christmas party and the adults thought it was hysterical.

When you push his foot, Elmo goes to sit on the stool to tell you a story, if the stool isn't there, he falls over. Our stool worked OK if one of the adults positioned it, it seems to have to be in exactly the right spot for Elmo to sit.
DS liked it, but the 8-12 year old nieces and nephews seemed to like it more. One in particular kept squeezing his nose - Elmo asks for his nose back

Oh yes, as in farts It almost sounds like short horn and then he says "Excuse Elmo." He does it again a few seconds later and says "Elmo knows it was you."

My son, who is only 7 months old, got one from his uncle. DS does not know who Elmo is, but he loves watching the doll move around and talk.

No Way! DS has been playing with him all day and I havent caught this yet! Then again I thought you only pressed his foot to get him to go and just realized that you press his belly, his nose etc. That's hilarious

Yes, ours tends to fall often. I have to position the chair favoring Elmo's right side for him not to fall, not directly behind him.

DS got one from Santa... but we have to bring it back because his nose doesn't work.  Everything else works but the nose... and with the amount of money you spend on these things, everything better work!
DS is pretty indifferent at this point.. he likes to watch from a distance! I think I like him more right now!

The funny thing is, even without the stool, he never falls. He lifts his leg up but still stands!!!

No way... I say as long as you have the receipt, bring it back!!! I still have the box... but you should see the shape it's in after trying to pry Elmo out of it! So "technically" I have the packaging, but they don't specify what the packaging has to look like! I tried to exchange it today, but the Toys R Us I went to was sold out!

Same here, DD chucks the stool, elmo doesnt need it anyhow, Lol and havent heard the tooting yet blaming on someone else, have to listen for that one!
