So who plans your shower?
DH was asking me all these questions tonight. He wants to be sure that he doesn't have to do anything for it , haha. I said I think all you have to do is make sure I'm available that day. Are most showers a surprise? Who pays for it all?

My mom is doing mine, and she is having help from Brian's mom & stepmom. Since I'm flying in for it... It's not a surprise...

My DH is paying for mine....but we have a very LONG list. So the planning is between my sister, best friend and DH...money for the place is coming from DH.

mil helped out a bit.

My moms are doing it with input from me on things like the guest list, date, etc. I don't want it to be a surprise, so I'm trying to be involved, but not too much involved!

My MIL is throwing mine. It's just going to be a small casual thing in her house (that's how I wanted it).

My mom paid for most of mine - my sister bought the cake and my brother's girlfriend the invitations. It wasn't a surprise b/c I asked that it not be.

I think it's generally the mom/mil. It depends on the person I guess. My MIL/sister and mom helped. The majority of showers and people I know who have had showers it's their moms that throw the shower.
