Social service agencies on Long Island
I am looking for a job again and while I know not everywhere is hiring, would you mind listing agencies you know of here on the island in general?
I am just trying to make a "list" to see what matches with my qualifications, location and my interests.
TIA!!!

Have you tried RES? They are the ones we are using for my brother's treatment. They are in Selden I think.
I hope that helps. I can get a number for you if you need to. Dr. Vallaro heads the company.

I know them well actually. They are on my list. I am still going back and forth if I still want to work for the TBI program ;)

Sure, it's a much needed program but has a whole list of frustrations separate from other programs. There are so many issues with TBI patients. My brother is a tri-fecta of sorts.

Re: Social service agencies on Long Island
I totally feel you and your brother's frustrations. The program starting at the top is a MESS right now.
I actually spoke with a social worker at a nursing home recently who told me that she has stopped referring clients to this program because it takes so darn long to put it into place. Even if there is NOT a housing issue.

Thanks Amy. I have bookmarked them in the past as well.
