sold jewelry yesterday. My complete opposite experiences at Tri County and Good Old Gold
well it was old jewelry from my mother and me. We first went to Good Old Gold bc of the recommendations here. Helen helped us. She took a long time explaining things to us, whats not worth that much to her but we should probably sell at an antique shop, etc....
She gave us a price..
Then we went to 3 different booths at TriCounty. First booth spent only a minute looking at everything and only offered 1700. Second booth only 1400. Third booth 1500. All of them were quick and seemed uninterested.
So we went back to Good Old Gold and gave them our business and we got a check for......
$5500
So please if anyone has anything to sell, take a trip out to Good Old Gold in Massapequa. Completely worth it!!!
I think I'm officially a Good Old Gold client for life. Most of the money is my moms but with my shar I'm going to go back and pick out a pair of nice earrings

Thats great! I love Good Old Gold...our wedding bands and my E Ring are from there. Nothing but wonderful experiences!

aww, you did the right thing by giving the place w/ better customer service your business. that's great! and you got an amazing amount of money!
even if the other places offered me a little more i still would have went to the place that did the right thing with service, KWIM?

yup totally know what you mean...
She was so honest..Even told us she's making money on us because it's a business transaction...I was just completely SHOCKED at how low Tri County booths tried to convince us we actually us...We would have been robbed

Congrats on the $$$!! Thanks for posting this. I've been meaning to sell my old gold for a while and have been debating if it's worth it to take a trip to GOG. I guess it definitely is worth it!

I sold my stuff there too and it was so nice that they showed us EVERYTHING and the customer service was outstanding!

I love Good Old Gold, I only buy jewelry there! I sold some scrap gold and a bunch of little things I don't wear anymore and made a nice little bundle back in February. The people there are so nice!
