Some new foods I have tried . . . (Updated info about Flat-Out wraps added.)
There are a few foods I have found and tried this week that are yummy and I thought I would share.
Special K Bliss bars- Chocolate Orange
These are YUMMY and 2 points. Although I never had the original bars, these have a chocolate coating at the base and are filled with bits of chewy orange throughout. They also come in raspberry (which I bought but did not yet try.) I found these at Waldbaums (2/5 this week.)
WW Cheese products:
String cheese- a tad bit smaller than the usual string cheese, but the taste and texture make it worthwhile to me. 1 point each.
Shredded Mexican Blend- 2 points for 1/3 of a cup. Melts great, is a great texture when melted or cold, tastes wonderful.
Whipped cream cheese- 1 point for 2 tbsp. Not quite as lightly whipped as your typical whipped CC, yet not as dense as the bar cream cheese. The taste was again delicious!
All on sale at waldbaums this week (prices ar 2/7, 2/5, and 2/4 respectively.)
WW New Yogurt Flavors (1 point each):
Cherry Cheesecake- Yummy cherry taste, but not tasting the cheesecake aspect. Just a yummy tasting cherry.
Boston Cream pie- A nice touch of chocolate flavor- not too artificial tasting or too overpowering. I liked this flavor alot.
Gnu Foods Fruit and Fiber bars- Cranberry Orange: 2 points per bar. The texture takes some getting used to, but I have grown to love these bars. This flavor will not be loved if you don't like both flavors because both flavors are quite powerful. The pieces of full dried cranberries really make this bar- very moist and yummy. I ordered online at gnufoods.com, but I have seen them at the Vitamin Shoppe and Whole Foods (I have heard that they can be found at some Stop and Shops also.)
Flatout Light Carbdown wraps: 1 point for a nice sized oval shaped wrap. I ate it toasted in the toaster oven with pineapple salsa and mexican blend cheese, which made it a cross between a hawaiian and mexican like pizza. Not sure how much i would like it cold and untoasted. These are on sale for 2.99 for 6 wraps at waldbaums this week. I found them by the cold cut counter.
Also, I have been eating Marie's Lite Blue Cheese dressing for a while now. 2 tbsp for 1 point and does not even taste REMOTELY close to lite dressing. AMAZING- so much so that it makes me wonder how they pulled it off . . .

The cheese was not America's Choice, it was Weight Watcher brand. I found it at the Waldbaums in Rocky Point.

Re: Some new foods I have tried . . .
Thanks for the tips! I want to try those Special K bars in Raspberry...I hope you don't think I'm hijacking, but those Gnu bars are also at some GNCs and Trader Joes..the chocolate and peanut butter ones are delish..as for cheese, for a nice size cheese portion, check out the Cabot 50% light cheese squares (for cheddar) or sargento mozz sticks (they might be bigger, for the same 1 point) and trader joes again has light cheese sticks that are a nice size for one point...i love sharing food finds, thank you for sharing yours! Enjoy!
PS..I just made little mozzarella foldovers with those flatouts...they tasted like a mozzarella stick! i think turkey pepperoni wraps are in order and quesadillas for dinner next week..enjoy!!

I just wanted to add that the Curve bars are really yummy! I bought a sample pack at BJ's (buy 1 get one free). It's 1 pt. per bar (100 cal, 5 g fiber and 3g fat. I love the chocolate peanut and strawberries & cream.

Oh no just a trim!!!! It looks amazing! I don't know how you grow it that long. You're probably dying to chop it off though lol. I'm sure it'll look great no matter what you decide.

Re: Some new foods I have tried . . .
Just a word of advice about those Flat-Out wraps. I have introduced quite a few new products into my diet the past couple of weeks and have experienced weight gain last week and tons of bloating. So I started looking at the labels of these new foods to see the sodium content. Well, the light flat-out original wraps have 490 mg of sodium in them. To me that is a heck of a lot for just a wrap. By the time you are done putting other items inside the wrap, you are taking in TONS of sodium. I am sorry I even posted these now . . . .
