Some people have nerve!!
My dh has a cousin who came to our wedding (almost 5 years ago!) last minute. He ate, drank, danced and had a good ol time. He never said hello to either of us and didn't give a gift.
Fast forward to the other day. He calls my dh out of the blue to ask him if he could get him pillows at a good price from work. My dh says sure..I'll see what I can do. The next day, his cousin calls him up and asks him if he got them. My dh tells him yes, it will be 100 bucks. His cousin says this..."Since you've never given me a gift in your life...you can buy these pillows for me"
My dh says to him...Buy YOU a gift??? How about my wedding when you came last minute and didn't even get me a gift? He totally caught him off guard and his cousin said that he was going through a tough time in his life...yadda yadda yadda...and that he didn't think we KNEW that he didn't give anything.
OMG...I just have to say...some people have NERVE!!!

my 3 cousins never RSVP'D to our wedding and brought 3 guests and NO ONE SAID congratulations to us and NO GIFT EITHER I have never said a word to them about it either

good for dh!!!!!!!!!!!!! dh's cousin came had the best time and bc she bragged about it to family and didnt give a gift and is known for coming to things and not giving a gitst bc "she is going through a tough time" question is r ur tough times years long!!!!!!!!!!!! if u cant do it dont come!!!!!!!!!!! i would never go to a function and not be able to give a gift i would be mortified!!!!! i would decline and then purchase something very small from the registry and send it to the house.....what is wrong with people!!!!!!!!!!!

Good for your husband standing up to this freeloader. I have been married 31 years and I am still waiting for a wedding gift from one of my husband's sisters. This is the one who is always crying poverty and telling everyone how much she is struggling, while, she has to live in the biggest house, have the newest cars, etc. Some people are, incredibly, ballsy.

we had a cousin on DH's side stiff us and she came with her husband. Well I sent the thank you to her parents house inside their envelope pretending to have lost her address so they can read the card. I simply said I hope you enjoyed yourself at our wedding yada yada.
on the parents I put thank you for your generous gift yada yada.
Hows that for letting someone know YOU know they stiffed you and someone else knows too!!!
your DH shouldnt do any favors for this piece of lard and good for him for saying something too!!!!
