OMG! Holy crap! Thank G-D he is ok. That could have been some serious head trauma.
I'm sure your mom was looking out for him!!!
I know right where you're talking about to - my parents don't live too far from there. Oxhead - between Pond Path & Mark Tree, right?
I've had my own Black Ice experiences - although nothing like that.
So glad he is ok. Hope he feels better!

he didn't exactly "walk" away- he was knocked out and pulled out of the car on a back brace and rushed to the ER
he was upside when the police got there

are you from out there? I grew up on lower sheep pasture

I'm actually originally from Oceanside - my parents moved to South Setauket a few years ago because they wanted some distance between themselves and their neighbors and a nice yard. They are are in South Setauket Park. it worked out for them b/c Setauket was out of their price range but their house is still in the Three Village School district which they wanted for resale purposes.

I could definitely see the culture shock coming to Long Beach!!!! I had it a bit myself!
My parents definitely like not being on top of the neighbors. I love that when I go out there - everything is pretty close. I love taking drives up to Setauket & Port Jeff! We're always trying different places for lunch all over. Haven't been to a bad place yet. And of course I can hit Smith Haven on the way home

Oh Beth. I've seen so many of these types of accidents, with so many injuries. I believe rollovers are the type of accident that causes the most injuries.
This is the very first time I've heard of someone coming out of one unharmed. I'm so glad it was him.

thanks- no one could believe he was ok
the people who get all the wrecks in suffolk said they have only see one other car that bad- a brand new bently that got crashed
the guy asked us who was driving b/c he couldn't believe that the driver would be out and about less then 12 hours after the accident
we know how lucky he was- and we are very thankful
being big has saved him on 2 occasions now
