**Someone please help! Question about relocating a washer/dryer!

So we purchased a new washer/dryer and made a whole laundry room now. However, we set it up so it will sit about 15 feet away from where the original owners had it. We did not think it would be a problem. Well, on Saturday when Home Depot came to install the washer we did not have the proper extension kit (which we will get) BUT The guy said that it should not be extended that long because the water may not flush out of the machine properly! But he said, it may lol SO WHAT THE HELL DO I DO?!!

Has anyone moved their washer and dryer to a new location? How did you do it?!

Re: **Someone please help! Question about relocating a washer/dryer!

In my mind, the washer isn't as much of an issue as the dryer should be. Are you ducting in a new exhaust for the dryer? You really do not want to run duct work from a dryer 15'.....it's a fire hazard with all the heat and lint.

The washer? A 15' stretch certainly allows more room for clogs and back-ups, but it wouldn't concern me much.

We moved ours to an entirely different part of the basement so everything had to be moved.(fil is a plumber) DH said you will need to move the drain pipe.
