Someone talk to me about video camera's
I have no idea where to begin but I know I would like to get one now so we know how to operate it before  arrives. Any reccomnedations?

Oh good thread I want to know the same thing and about Camera's too we have a sono digital but I want a good camera for when the baby is born!

I just got my husband the Canon FS100 for Valentines day. It was like $250 on Amazon because a newer model has just come out. It is great! About the size of a soda can and also takes still pictures. It does not use DVD's or tapes, it uses a memory card (like a digital camera) and you just upload it to your computer. We got a memory card on amazon also and for an 8GB it was about $16. This will hold a few hours of recordings depending on what setting it is on. HTH

I have a SONY and love it. The zoom is so great and the picture quality is superb.

Us too. Not sure which model, I'll check....but its FABULOUS! The picture is amazing and the zoom is incredible -- we used it on our honeymoon and from the balcony of our cruise we were able to see everything on the main land.
