Someone tell me I did the right thing - Fathers Day Related
So my soon-to-be-ex H basically ruined my mothers day by being a PITA and just not doing anything even from my son.
I asked him what he wanted for father's day (DS is only 16 months old) - he said nothing.
THat doesn't really sit well with me b/c he is an okay dad and its still fathers day. He takes DS to the beach and that is their plan for fathers day.
Last time he bought a cheap pail/shovel and it broke. I was in Target to day and got a shovel kit for the beach.
This way I acknowledge the day, and still give my son something.
TIA, Confused mother.

I kinda like your "activity" idea. Its given something to dad with dc involved. There is no way I would buy him anything if he did nothing for me -thats just me.

You are definitely the bigger person by doing what you did.

I think that is nice of you. I don't know if I would personally get HIM something if he couldn't even help you enjoy your own day- the MOST I would go is a card (from DS) with a nice picture of DS (not framed or anything) but that is really it and that is pushing it but if it makes you feel better its a gesture without being too much.
