Something happened on Hicksville rd in Massapequa?
Anyone know what happened? DH said there were police and firemen and helicopters flying overhead - north of the southern state.

Apparently there was a shooting of some sort....according to a message we got at school, those involved were apprehended. That's all I heard!

See, I was going to post this too, I live in Massapequa and my DH leaves for work at 4:30am.
Apparently cops told him it was a HOME INVASION, which in turns gets him to call me and wake me up....cause they were looking for this guy.
Then within 10 min a helicopter was hovering in the area, for about a 1/2 hr (which would of woke me up if phone didnt).
I called DH and he said after we hung up, he passed a bunch of troopers, 3 males were already cuffed on ground and there was one missing, hence the helicopters.
Didnt know any more than that.

 I Saw something when I dropped my DD off this morning. Thank goodness they got them.
I just thougt there was an accident of something, I'm only about a mile from there.

one of my co-workers nows the family who's home was invaded. Apperently the husband went down late at night to make a sandwhich; there were 2 men in the kitchen who attacked the husband. The 2 men then proceeded to take some items out of the home. The wife and children slept through the invasion.
very scary stuff...this seems to becoming a regular occorance lately

This is what we heard as well. DS goes to school next to the FD and the cops were still there this morning when I dropped him off at 7:45.
Also, there was an accident on the SS @ 107 around 7:30 to boot.

They got them apparently. The school DS goes to would have immediately been on lock-down if they were still looking for someone. (This is what the director told me this morning anyway.)
