Something is terribly wrong with my dog...Update with pics
I had him boarded for a few days and we picked him up last night.
He seemed very tired. And they said they just bathed him but he had crust all over his face.
He would not walk anywhere. He looked like he had lost soo much weight too.
Then when we picked him up to bring him to bed he had this awful bruising like rash on his belly and bloody cuts on his legs.
We called the vet and they said he is probably just allergic to something they put on him to go get benadryl and call them tomorrow (today).
Well, this morning he can't even walk right and the rash thing is still there.
Should I bring him somewhere else or back to the same vet?

Take him somewhere else. Today.   ETA: Cuts on the dog's legs is NOT normal from being boarded, and what kind of allergy could they possibly have in a crate? Why didn't the vet dispense the Benadryl before you took the dog home?
Sorry but this vet sounds very irresponsible

I am calling someone else right now. I feel awful because I had to go to work this morning but they told me I can leave now and take him.

I would bring him to the vet... last time you called, so they couldn't see his condition first hand. I would also call the kennel where you boarded him, ask to speak to a manager and find out what could have possibly happened. Good luck!

Well, I talked to DH's uncle who is a lawyer and he told me to bring him back to them and see what they say and go from there.
Well I did and the vet straight out said it is def bruises!!
She said she is not sure what happened. She also said that the cuts look like they were from Fri or Sat (he was at the kennel).
And he is full of dandruff and the vet said it is from stress and rec a fatty oil spray
I am beyond mad right now. DH is going up there when he get's home to get our money back from the boarding.
I feel so bad for my Bailey.
Oh, the vet also said to watch for blood clots in the eye, gums, and ears. That would me there is something happening internally too.

HOLY CRAP! That poor puppy. Please make sure you shower him with extra love and attention. He has been through a traumatic experience and needs help to get thru this. In addition, in the future he MIGHT have seperation anxiety if you try to leave him again.
I am so very sorry you are going thru this, the boarding place should be ashamed!!!
Please give him a pat on the head and a hug from me.

OMG I cannot believe they did that to your poor little dog. Please make sure you bring him to another vet right away. I would also look into a lawyer possibly or legal counseling. I would not let that place get away with treating an animal that way again.

 Poor Bailey -- you must be beside yourself. How irresponsible of the kennel/vet!! Can you tell me where you went? You can FM if you want -- I am also concerned because my sister goes to a vet in your neighborhood and want to make sure it isn't the same place.....
I hope Bailey is OK very soon!!

OMG...your poor baby. Lots of love and treats  should do the trick with him...but that place. UGH...can you file a complaint with the BBB? I would hate to see animals suffering there.

Demand your money back. AND, complain to everyone you can possibly complain to. Not just BBB, but any other resource that keeps track of this type of facility and who ever governs the care of animals in NY.

I agree. That looks like trauma, not an allergy. I am so sorry your sweet pup had to go through this.
ETA: did the vet do any blood workup?

I worked at a vet for a while, and let me tell you I have NEVER seen anything like this. Is is NOT normal for a dog to leave all bruised like that unless it was harmed in some way. I would NOT bring your dog back to this vet. Go to another reputable vet - even try the pet hospital/emergency vet care named LIVS on the service road off the LIE. They specialize in trauma and a bunch of other things from cancer to broken bones. They have specialists on-call.
Would you care to say the name of the place you brought your dog? I want to be sure that NO ONE I know ever brings their pet there.
