sono too early??

so my OB sent me for a sono on what he thought was the end of week 6. I get there 7/10 and they seem to think I'm measuring at the beginning of week 6. They see a gestational sac and a yolk sac but no embryo yetChat Icon I had a feeling it was too early to go. They assure me that they are seeing what they're supposed to be seeing at this point, but I can't help the neurotic girl inside of me being nervous. They want me back in 10 days for another sono.

10 DAYS? to wonder if everything is alright???

I called my OB and asked if I could come in for a blood test to compare my beta levels to the first test on 6/30. He told me that my first beta was 770 (I don't even know if that's good???) and I have to call after 1pm today for the result of yesterdays test.

can anyone please spare a few Chat Icon Chat Icon that the numbers have risen as they're supposed to. TIAChat Icon

eta, they estimated that I was 5 weeks on 6/30

So sorry you were disappointed! Chat Icon
I went today for my first appt and was disappointed that they didn't do a sono. I'm only 5 weeks 3 days so I have an appt in two weeks for the sono. They took bloods but I won't find out until tomorrow. I hate waiting as well! I want to know what is going on in there!

My first appt was around 5-6 weeks, I went in the doc took a quick look and said "I had a nice sac". I didn't read anything into it because I knew it was early too see something. When I went back in two weeks I saw the baby. A couple of days makes a huge difference in the beginning. Chat Icon that everything is fine for you. Chat Icon

Re: sono too early??

A few days really does make a huge difference. Check my pregnancy album for sonos at 5w, 6w, 7w and you will see how much they grow.

Try not to stress!!!

Try not to stress!

Something similar happened to me- I was measuring a week behind where I thought I was and everything ended up being okay. I had to go back once a week for like 3 weeks to see what was going on, but it ended up being fine- now I'm 21 weeks.

Re: sono too early??

Thank you so much ladies.....I just got the call from the OB.....

turns out my Beta went from:

707 on 6/30

to

13,000 on 7/13

That's 18X the original. Whew.....things are moving in the right direction.

Now we just wait for the follow up sono on Monday to see a heartbeat

Thanks again for all the words of encouragement. I don't know why this time around, I'm so nervous. I guess it's just that last time I was ignorant and completely blissful about itChat Icon
