Sonogram question.....Internal or external
At what week do you start to get external sonograms. I forgot!!!!
On Tuesday I go for my 12 week appointment and they most likely will be giving me another sonogram and I hate the internal ones they feel funny.

My 12 week sono had to be both an internal and external due to my difficult baby, but I believe that it is usually an external by that time.

My 12 week sono was my first external one, and the nurse told me that the rest should all be that way unless they need a better look.

Mine was external but so was my 8 week one which I know isn't typical. My doc says she tries externally first and if she can't get what she needs she will go internally.

I believe they only do the internal ones early on, because that is the best way to see what's going on in your uterus. My 12 week was external.

I had both at my 12 week appt as well. After that they have all been external except for when i was having spotting.

My 12 week was external. My 20 week started out as external but wound up internal b/c they couldn't get a good read on the cervix.

Good!!!! I hate when they put that wand in your cuchie and then move it around. Its so uncomfortable!!!
